I've been busy lately with life and its many plot twists so I'm late to post my blog. I don't really know what to write about as per usual. Change, is it achievable, are we locked into our predispositions? I always think about the quote "Insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Are the choices we make not drastic enough to affect the grand scheme of things. Who knows. I don't. I've always put a lot of thought into what it'd take to run a country of my own and what kind of leader I would be. Safe to say, I'd probably be a dictator, but with a big heart. If that makes any sense at all. Well that's my mind bile for today. If you're wondering, I'm listening to "Change by Deftones".

I think the choices we make will ultimately affect the grand scheme of things, at least things in our own future.
I believe the choices you make can be drastic enough to change your whole life negative or positive.
ReplyDeleteI really like that song. My dad and I used to listen to different alternative and rock songs. My favorite band is The Distillers, it was literally my childhood. It's funny because now I am into k-pop LOL.

To some extent, I think any leader convinced that they're doing what's best for their people, at some point, crosses over into tyranny of one form or another; even Roosevelt, at the halcyon of the New Deal era, started to adopt autocratic tendencies. It's almost inevitable.
That same conviction that gives a person the charisma to lead warps into dictatorial tendencies, if given enough time. They're two sides of the same coin, really.
I usually just write about something that has interested me during the week. Some information I stumble upon on the internet and then write my opinions about it.

ReplyDeleteI think you have to have a big heart to be a dictator, but it also depends on how well you control your emotions as it relates to humanity.
ReplyDeleteThe decisions we make today affect our tomorrow and the lives of the generations to come. one by one, little by little, our actions eventually affect the grand scheme of things. Take the planet for example look how far we've come from horse and buggies to vehicles with engines to electric cars to global warming. All it takes is one person with an idea.
ReplyDeleteSomething that has helped me a lot is taking a step back and taking a look at the reasons why things did not work out the first time. There is also another saying that we do not remember pain. At first I didn't understand what that meant, until I realized I was falling for the same thing again for that exact reason. I didn't remember how bad things went the first time mixed with the idea that things will be "different" even though I was repeating the same mistakes again hoping for change.
