TD07 What I've Learned

In this chapter of LabSim, I enjoyed learning about the IF Function in 5.7.4. It made me think of the first time I used Excel and was curious about programming. It's a really great tool and it's fun to mess with in Excel.

  1. The IF function can be appended to many functions (e.g. Average ~ AverageIf, Sum ~ SumIf).

If, Then, Else statement is the decision tree that introduces many people to programming ^_^

  2. I don't know why if and sumif caused me the most headache.

  3. I had dealt with "If" statements before, through programming in Python, so this was one aspect of Excel I actually felt comfortable with out the gate.

  4. I liked the IF function. I honestly liked all the math functions because I wanted to be a math major, but in the end I chose finance.

  9. Of all of the capabilities within Excel, the 'if' function might have caused me the least headache. I felt it was fairly simple. Like it was stated earlier, it's easiest when you conceptualize the "if, then, else" concept.

  12. Excel was a lot of fun for me as well! Definitely more fun than Word in my opinion, and somewhat more useful!
